Meet Our Three New Massage Therapists: Michelle, Marleni, and Kim

If you’ve been in for a session lately, you may have met someone new. I’m happy to introduce three new massage therapists who have joined the Oasis team — MichelleMarleni, and Kim. We’re a small place, so adding three therapists is a real change around here. Each of them brings something a little different to the table (literally), and together they’ve expanded what we’re able to offer you.

Here’s a little about each of them.

Michelle

“Working with clients with an oncology history is a passion of mine.”

Michelle has been a licensed massage therapist for 31 years, and she’s spent decades as a massage educator alongside her hands-on practice. She’s especially skilled at working with soft tissue injuries and with clients recovering from surgery, where the goal is reducing scar tissue and restoring movement.

She also brings something to Oasis that we haven’t been able to offer before: oncology massage. For 17 years, Michelle treated both children and adults with massage and reflexology while they were going through cancer treatment at Mass General Cancer Center. She provides safe, effective work for anyone in treatment or with an oncology history, and she has particular experience with clients who have had a mastectomy.

If you’re wondering whether massage is safe for you during or after cancer treatment, the answer is often yes — with a therapist trained for it. Michelle is that therapist. She also does wonderful relaxation work if that’s what you’re after.

Marleni

“I look forward to helping you take time for yourself and prioritize your well-being.”

Marleni is a licensed massage therapist whose focus is on building the session around you rather than running through a set routine. She’s all about easing tension, letting stress melt away, and sending you back out the door feeling relaxed and re-energized.

If you’ve been putting off taking an hour for yourself, Marleni is a great place to start.

Kim

“Some of the best bodywork happens when you finally feel safe enough to let go.”

Kim describes her approach as nurturing and intuitive. She doesn’t do the same session twice. She listens to what you tell her, pays attention to what she feels under her hands, and lets the work follow what your body needs that day.

One thing Kim is known for is her scalp work. She takes her time through the scalp, head, and neck — which, if you’re someone who carries stress there (and most of us do), is the kind of detail that takes a good massage and makes it a great one.

Whether you’re dealing with stubborn tension, an overworked body, or you just need to completely unplug for a while, Kim’s goal is for you to leave the table feeling lighter, looser, and deeply restored.

Ready to Meet Them?

We’re glad to have all three of them here, and we think you will be too. You can read their full bios on our Team of Experts page.

We only have two treatment rooms, so booking ahead is the best way to get the therapist and the time you want. Book an appointment online or give us a call — and if you’re not sure who would be the best fit for what you’re dealing with, just ask. We’re happy to point you in the right direction.
